Pool Policies and Regulations

       The outdoor pools will be open Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting, from 11:30am to 7:30pm every day. Occasionally, morning opening time may be delayed due to circumstances such as inclement weather, pool clean up, technical problems, addition of chemicals, etc. We will post such information and appreciate your cooperation!

       The weather must reach 70 degrees by 11:00am in order to open the outdoor pools. If you have any questions as to the temperature, please review our "Home" page or our "Lighthouse Pointe" page for current weather. If it is not warm enough to open the pool at 11:00am, the temperature will be re-evaluated at 1:00pm and then 3:00pm. After 3:00pm if there has been no change we will not open that day. In the event of inclement weather (lightning or thunder) the pool will be evacuated. Please ensure that there is always an adult available to pick up children.

• Per DCFS regulations any adult in the pool area between 10:00am and 11:30am may only be in the adult pool area and may not enter the bath houses. Our Fun N Fit Day Care Program uses the pool area during these times.

• All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No child under age 14 will be allowed at the pool without an adult present. There are no exceptions due to laws and insurance regulations.

• Please bring your own pool towels. Clubs at River City towels are not allowed outside.

• No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the pool without a lifeguard on duty

• Adults may use the outdoor pools at their own risk until dusk.

• Occasionally, it may be necessary to close the pool for a swim meet. Prior notification will be given.
