Class Descriptions

Some of the classes we created to meet your needs follow:

 

ARTHRITIS PLUS CLASS - This class is designed for the mature adult who suffers from mild to extreme arthritis or any type of musculoskeletal problems. Range of motion and dexterity are emphasized to increase flexibility and strength. The class is open to anyone who needs to work at a beginning level. Arthritis Association Approved (Included in Membership)

Monday-Wednesday-Friday 10:15AM - 11AM Adult Pool

 

SOFT AEROBICS - This class offers the mature adult the opportunity of exercising under the supervision of certified instructors to achieve their individual level of fitness. This class consists of low impact aerobics, step or walking, resistance work, floor work and stretching. (Included in Membership)

Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8AM -9AM Aerobics Room

 

AQUAEROBICS - Refreshing non-impact workout to keep you moving in our pools both inside and outside of our club! This class is designed for any age individual, but is very popular with the mature adult. It is cardiovascular in nature, but utilizes the buoyancy of the water to reduce impact to the joints. (Included in Membership)

Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8AM -9AM, Monday thru Saturday 9AM -10AM Adult Pool

 

WATER WALKING - This class is a variety of different walking activities used to bring up your heart rate as well as tone the lower body. It is very easy to follow and a great starting point for new members. (Included in Membership)

Tuesday-Thursday 10:00AM -10:40AM Adult Pool

 

HYDROTONE PLUS - This class uses the hydrotone boots and bells, but also incorporates aerobics into the workout, making it cardiovascular as well as toning. (Included in Membership)

Monday-Wednesday 5:30PM -6:30PM Adult Pool

 

TAI CHI - This is Meditation in motion! Chinese doctors believe illinesses occur when internal energy of your body (called "Chi") is weak or failing. Tai Chi helps maintain good Chi energy. Tai Chi is graceful , low impact and uses moves that focus on balance, breathing, stretching and turning. Join us if you would like to lower you blood pressue, improve you balalnce, increase muscle tone and coordination! (Included in Membership)

BIKE THE TRAIL – 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 11:30AM May-October

 

GENTLE YOGA – Through stretching, yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation practices, you will experience the pure joy of integrating the body, mind and spirit. Yoga is wonderful for increasing flexibility and bone mass plus cleansing our systems. (Included in Membership)

Mondays 8:45AM, Thursdays 9:15AM & Fridays 10:15AM Yoga Studio

 

MATURE ADULT FITNESS - This class will be intervals of cardio and strength training, finishing up with balance work and flexibility training. (Included in Membership)

SPECIAL EVENTS:Because we offer the best to our members as a private club that means that we like to do special things to show our appreciation. We offer Holiday Luncheons, Parties, Walks, Bike Rides and other social events! Also we have worked with our local health providers to offer medical screening at no cost to you!
